Christmas is coming!

The Christmas season is here...and I am so excited!!!!! The day after Thanksgiving is my favorite because Keith lets me put up the tree!

Now on Friday I did something I have never done before...I went shopping in the morning...4 am to be exact! Kohl's had a really good deal on sweaters...but the line being wrapped from one end of the store to other was not worth two sweaters, then waited in line until Old Navy opened...nothing there...frustration sets in a t this point, I then get in line to wait for Target to open at 6:00 am...finally something. A few small gifts for people, but some cool finds for me and Keith...a waffle maker like Kalla's, The Notebook on DVD for me, a household tool kit/drill and a mechanic's tool kit for both Keith and I, and some new gloves and hat for me. It was fun...though it would have been better if someone had been with me...oh Sara!

After coming home for a few hours and sleeping, I then got out the Christmas boxes and decorations and set to work. The first Christmas Keith and I were married he helped with the tree, but after discovering how fanatic I am about the tree, he lets me do it by myself...hopefully I can change by the time we have kids--or buy a second tree for them. This year I discovered that I need more space to decorate...my mantle is a bit overcrowded with new decorations acquired in the past year. Also, check out the button tree I made, found here.

Thanksgiving Recap

We had a great Thanksgiving Day...spending the afternoon at my parents and heading over to Keith's grandparents house for the evening.

Seth had a great first Thanksgiving...he napped all through the dinner...oh well next year he will get to sample the food! Sara took some great photos of Seth in honor of turning eight months tomorrow.
We also took a fun video of Seth giggling and learning how to beat up his sisters.

I also took a family picture for Mom and Dad to use with their Christmas cards this year...one of the blooper shots!

I'm Thankful For...

*my amazing family!
-I have a great husband who loves me dearly and is constantly doing things to make me feel good about myself! I love you Keith!
-I have amazing parents who have supported me in every decision I make and are still there for me when I need them
-I have a great sister and brother-in-law, who though they may live hours away, are still so important to me! Happy Thanksgiving Chris and Kalla!
-I have a best friend who loves to do all the things I do and is just minutes away when needed...plus she is a great sis too! Sara, I love you!
-My brother...no longer a boy is growing up so quick and is because an awesome young man. Zach you may be bigger than me now, but I still have tricks up my sleeve to use when needed.
-I have a new little brother that because he is so young, still thinks I am the coolest even when I do stupid things!
-I have the cutest little nephew in the world and look forward to all the future holidays I get to spend with him!
*our jobs, through it all we have never been without
*cars, as much trouble as we have had in the last year with our vehicles, I am thankful that He has always provided and that we have been kept safe
*our friends who have stood by us through everything and have been there every step of the way in all the situations we have faced

Happy Thanksgiving!

Growing Up

Seth is now a little over seven months and he has grown so much. When I look at pictures of when he first came to those of now, I amazed to see how big he has gotten.
He claps...
He laughs...
He talks...
He rolls over...
He is just so darn loveable!

Talking and Playing

Seth has recently learned to clap and play pat-a-cake...but once you start he wants to keep going and going.

I HATE when cars break

Long story short...I drive Keith's car to work...weird noise...look under car see oil dripping...tow comes...estimate given: over $1500 for a new transmission. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Keith and I had just sat down on Sunday and looked at the budget and made huge decisions and actions toward paying off our debt. And then this...I trust that He can work it all out, but it doesn't change the feelings of despair.
I know that God is bigger than all this and that is why I trust that there is a big plan behind all this!
